    Sweet!! I had a Jackson SL2H that looked exactly like that! Did you mod your Jackson to run the EMG's with two batteries?

    No I haven't. I've heard a lot of good things about making it 18v. Just not sure how to do it

    It's actually a pretty easy mod. All you need is a soldering iron, some solder and an extra 9v battery clip (costs about $0.50)

    Actually if you want to do it just to try out without soldering on your guitar all you do is get 3 9v battery clips (radio shack is like a buck for a bag of 5) wire them together and plug them into the original battery clip. Like this:

    awesome thanks guys. ill have to try it out.
    only problem might be trying to fit 2 9v batteries in the electronics cavity

    finally did the 18v mod on my jackson. sounds incredible, i wish i did it sooner

    Honestly tell us. It's a major improvement on the tone ain't it?

    The tone has improved 100% and the bottom end has totally improved, you can feel it in your chest if you crank your amp a little. very satisfied.
