    Caparison Evolution: Falcon to Horus

Seeing that I've mentioned a bit about the Horus being an evolution on the old Jackson Falcon, I highly doubt many of you have actually seen what a Jackson Falcon looks like. I mean Jackson never had anything as cool as a Horus right?? Or did they??

The Jackson Falcon was designed by Itaru Kanno and was never sold outside of Japan(Japanese Domestic model). Jackson USA never offered such a model and the ownership of the design went with Mr. Kanno when the contract ended. While I still believe the Horus is a better model than the Falcon, I'd still buy myself a Jackson Falcon just to own a bit of Caparison History.

Here's the specs on the Falcon:

    Falcon Custom:
    List price 160,000 JPY

    Body: Mahogany
Neck: Quarter Sawn Maple Straight Grain Bolt-On
    Neck Scale: 24 3/4", 27 frets
Neck joint: Rounded heel cut (just like the Horus)
    Fingerboard: Rosewood
Inlay: Sharkfins/sharkteeth with mini sharkteeth on the 24th and 27th frets
    Fretwire: Rockwell C6/Brinell 171
    Fret Size: .118 x .114 x .051 x .037 (1-24F)
    .110 x .106 x .039 x .037 (25-27F)
    Pickups: Front/Grover Jackson S-6F
    Rear/Grover Jackson J-DA
Controls: One Volume (also a 2-Way pickup selector like the Horus)
    Bridge: Schaller/Grover Jackson
    Finish: Blue Faience

I've attached an image with both the limited edition Horus Iris and the Jackson Falcon side by side. You can CLEARLY see the difference.

IF ANYONE SEE'S A FALCON FOR SALE LET ME KNOW!!

    Cheers,

    Budd

I've found another pic of the Falcon and Chachamaru holding one on the other Caparison forum.
It looks cool, but it's not as cool as a Caparison.

    Greets, Sebas.

Wow, I didn't know this guitar existed. I still need to get a horus before I even think about a falcon. Anyone who finds a horus in black forest, please let me know.

I wonder if that Falcon came in anything other than that Blue.
