    Don't forget Stanley Jordan, jazz player. And, Jeff Watson of Night Ranger had 8 and 10 finger technique. Seen Jordan use 8 fingers and Jeff too. Heard that Jeff had 10 finger nique'. Think Jeff had a video out about it in the 80's or early 90's. You might want to try a Chapman Stick book if they made one since it had 10-strings or 12-strings and was made for two-handed technique exclusively.

    I always felt that the number of hours I'd need to get that technique down would not be worth the tiny extra bit of liberty on note choice, over the single finger tapping technique. (Or that could be me being too damn lazy )
    I mean, some guys are able to do some crazy streching licks with one finger tapping that sound just as good as those 8-finger tapping licks.

    Actually, TJ is probably the only 8-finger tapping guitarist I consistently enjoy; most guys push it too far imo.

    Ha! Tom Gardiner is the king alright. check his band "Hateform" for some kickass shredding/tapping.

    when I was growing up in the 80's...Jeff Watson of Night Ranger was the 8 finger tapping king...solo in "Still Rock in America" etc..
