Whats the best metal rack unit. ?

Is it the Custom Audio Electronics 3+ SE, Rocktron IE4, ADA MP-1 mod or mp-2?

I just was offered to trade for a Awsome Guitar rig with VHT 2502, IE4, etc..

I want to explore racks now after using amps for 5 years...
I use x2n, blackouts etc, i like powerful outputs, etc..

It's probably going to be a little controversial , but I have to vote for this one:

or, more recently (while purely speculating), this one:

Way too much knobs for my taste (I'd probably be perfectly fine with the E530),
but it goes from beautiful cleans to all-out havoc with every nouance in between,
especially with a 5881-rigged power amp

But ENGL amps has a hush control that my friends dont like. Has the Fractal Axe FX Tubes like the IE4 and 3+

    Not at all!

It's a digital amp emulator + multiFX unit, but it's extremely accurate in its emulation of tube amps (tone and feeling wise) and the quality of the effects is praised to be comparable to an Eventide, for instance. While it is not the holy grail, it has suposed a revolution in the guitar world (you can just check the flame wars along all kinds of forums ). Since it's all digital, you can get a HUGE variety of sounds, from sharp funky or ambient new age to crushing metal, out of a 2U rack. Thanks to power amp and cab emulation, you can actually go direct to FR monitors and PA or use it for direct recording (but you can use a real tube power stage and a 4x12 if you want too).

BUT it does not sound 100% exactly like the amps it emulates and as any digital gear it's extremely prone to depreciation. It's just another option with pros/cons that I would consider when entering the pre/amp market.
