    NGD: Caparison Horus Yellow Sand/GO

    Hi guys,

I finally got my first Caparison last weekend!! I am totally in love with her. She looks killer, plays like butter and sounds awesome. I got her second hand but she is in really good condition. The guitar came with a different bridge pickup but neither the previous owner nor me know which one (sounds similar to a SD JB to me). He bought brand new from a UK distributor and was truly puzzled when I pointed it out to him.

Well, enough typing. Here are some pics. Sorry for the finger marks, I was too excited to clean her after playing

Hi Xykhron! Yes, I finally pulled the trigger on this one. It was one of the only one I could find in Europe within my budget that was in good-to-mint condition. Other than the gold finish on the trem and volume knob being a bit tarnished she is really clean. No dings, no scratches, only couple of swirl marks. All she really needs is a bit of cleaning (partly my fault) and a good set up. The previous owner played in a differnt tuning and the intonation on the G and B strings is a bit off.

I would have loved to get a Snowcloud or, even better, a Violet Iris one. I've heard there is some guy from Bilbao in the forum who has one :-)

    Cheers

Makes me wish I still had the yellow sand custom with the ebony board that belonged to Peter Joseph.

Thanks a lot Nybergh! Glad you like her!! IMHO the YS is one of Caparison's most distinctive finishes. I love all the standard Horus finishes but find that some of them look a tad too similar (at least on pictures).

Budd, that must have been one damn sexy Horus. I wonder why Caparison doesn't offer the Horus with ebony fingerboards. From what I have read a lot of people would dig them.
