I don't understand when someone goes to a custom luthier to get something copied exactly.. for me kind of defeats the purpose.

If you want the exact same thing but can't be patient for up to 2 years in a waiting list, since they make a handful of guitars per year. At least that was the case a couple of years back when I checked.

To me that's like not being able to wait long enough to save for an Audi, so you rebadge a Toyota to look like one..

I know some people don't want to wait for builds, or can't afford these.. I just still don't understand why people get copies made, when you can do anything you want? By the same token, I don't understand luthiers that are happy to make an exact copy of someone else's design. It's just having something that looks like something it isnt.

No disrespect to OP, just my opinion.

BM is getting build by another guy at "Feline Guitars", not Dough him self now, a friend of mine b2 and got some inside info. I didnt want to wait 3 years to bid 10.000$ on a guitar that cost 2650$ to build, 260$ with case and shipping and is not build by Dough. Valery Vaschenko uses the same materials and have chambered, aged woods up to 1959. He makes killer LPs. AND I LOVE THE SOUND OF THIS THING. It feels great and smells great :-) The reverse "PARKER" Design is nice modern design. If you want the same here is the info:
Here are the specifications of the guitar:

    - Alder body 35mm
    - Top ebony
    - Neck nut, bolt
    - Ebony fret board
    - The scale 26.77-29.32
    - Ebony headstock
