    Humbucker screws

Just wondered if anyone might be able to shed some light as to why Caparison use 2 screws in the top of pickups for mounting? I haven't had any problems with this as i love the caparison pickups and dont change them... but curiousity is getting the better of me, as Caparison usually have a reason for what they do on designs rather than the "it looks cool" approach

Because it allows the pickups height to be adjusted and tilted So you can get the pickup truly parallel to the string.

Thanks Version_6, i had thought it might be this reason but wanted to double check.... now the all important question, where can i source a pickup ring that hasn't had the middle hole drilled already? Got a guitar coming with a pickup ring thats been drilled for a 'conventional' humbucker and i'd like to go back to caparisons 2 top 1 bottom rings

All my Caparison guitars have 3 holes one side, 1 on the other so you can use either pickup style. You'll probbaly just have to use regular pickup rings and drill the extra holes in it.
