Adjusting string height TAT SPECIAL CL 14 SCHALLER TREMOLO

Hi, i recently bought a TAT SPECIAL CL 14... the action its pretty low, and while its ultra comfortable to play, which i love, it buzzes to the point of totally muting the strings while using the tremolo bar for a wide vibrato, which i dont like. So, i figured i need to adjust the action and keep the strings a bit higher. Here is my doubt: Some say i only have to just rotate the pivots at the side of the bridge till the desired string height, but others say that this method will deteriorate the knife edges, affecting tuning stability, among other problems, and that i should take the tremolo off the guitar to do such adjustment. I also have read that this tremolo ( a floating schaller) being a high end tremolo (similar to the original floyd rose in terms of quality), wont sustain any noticeable damage , compared to a cheap licensed tremolo, if do the adjustment the "easy"fast" way i mentioned.

    Hope you can help me.

Not a professional here.... but yes your right adjusting the two tremolo studs with your strings tuned up will increase the wear of the knief edge on your tremolo bridge...

You can either stuff something soft like a cork or an eraser inside the bridge cavity to prevent the bridge from sagging down then from there loosen up the strings totally till the strings lifts up from the bridge anchoring points and use your allen key to adjust your bridge height proper...

You can search for framus guitar setup on youtube where it will show you how you gauge the height of the bridge by inserting a 2mm allen key on your most inner frets and the gap between your lowest E string to your 24th fret (supposed is a 24 fret guitar) is to be of 2mm height

    Here the clip:

Thou its an 8 string guitar but it works for me on my Jackson SL2H and it plays prefectly well...
