I mean, yeah there would be quite a few guitar players. Too many, I'm not sure about. If we were doing a harder shreddier record, wouldn't we want to layer like 19 tracks anyway? I would just like to start swapping tracks and just add bit by bit as we go on. People can choose which ones they want to play on and such.

I totally understand that this will be a pain in the ass and will need more discussion regarding the direction. For me, this is more fun and learning than anything. Maybe it can help start the fire about a Caparison Jam show or something.

By the way, you do actually have 3 more frets than I do now ;-)

I play bass. If interested save your guitar tracks as wav. files and e-mail them to me. Only stiputation is 16-bit 44Khz is the best resolution my current 8-track can handle. I also have a drum machine or can use loops or drum tracks(with the above stipulation). Can mix, and master a decent cd (need better monitors) or can burn tracks to be used for mixing by someone of your choice. If interested let me know. I can send you a couple of tracks in mp3 format to listen to. If you can't wav. but can mp3 I can convert back and forth also. But there will be some signal loss on the track and may get noisy.

I would actually love to join... At least for the sake of practicing and learning))) it would probably be a better idea to look at some other websites for other people who plays different instruments

Use wav, just RAR 'em before sending out.. They compress pretty well, and it's revesable

Or use low mp3 quality and send 1-5mb tracks to each other
until the rough outline is recorded.
It's a waste of time to send 100mb of tracks just so you may discard them later.
Other instruments can be written in GM midi for a few kilobytes.

Once the ideas are in place and you know what to do, the good recordings can start and all wave files can go to the best sound engineer among you, for mixing or proper recording

I wouldnt really say that style of music is brutal tbh, Its like August Burns red style stuff isnt it, metal core or whatever its called, Nevermore is much heavier than that tbh, quite good though man, I like the harmonies :].
I think the word "brutal" is more reserved for bands like Emperor, Meshuggah, etc etc.
