Yeah, personally I can't take the brutal stuff all the time, but I do like the more technical side of what some of these bands are doing. Just checked out a few clips of Fleshgod Apocalypse, gotta saying I'm liking that quite a bit.

Ha no all the 7 string owners should know its right to listen to meshuggah. Destroy Erase Improve is a damn good album. Only problem is you try to head bang to it and the guitars are odd timing that you end up looking like a fool on the off beats!

+1 on that, I still find it remarkable he plays all the instuments in the band AND does backing vocals, its insane, also you checked out the new one? the isolation game, its ****ign awesome to be fair, also has some guest solos by Olof Morck from Nightrage/Dragonland like in the song loosing ground for example, ****ign excellent album, excellent band, one of myt favourite albums is Fragments of a D-generation, Quicksand Symmetry is just awesome.
